Last Christmas my college aged daughter, Sarah, asked for a "Stretch Ring". I had no idea what it was. I looked on Amazon.com and found them. They are rings for your fingers (and toes) that S-T-R-E-T-C-H over your finger instead of fitting a hard ring around them.
When I bought her the rings for Christmas, I put "making my own stretch ring" on my to-do list. Guess what? I finally took the time to do it!
These are images of 2 of the rings I found on Amazon.com and bought for my daughter:
A two-tone silvertone/gold heart (above), and this silvertone-turquoise ring:
They come in all styles... here is another one that I did NOT buy, but you can see how it is made when you look a these cultured-pearl double strand rings:
And here is MINE! Yes, I made this TONIGHT!
I know my photos are awful, but I just couldn't wait to post them and I have a very long day tomorrow!
On Tuesday I'll fill you in about my adventure in making this little beauty. In the meantime,
I hope you get the chance to be creative today!
Great job! I didn't know you made jewelry. If you need supplies let me know I have tons! and I don't do it anymore.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rhonda!! I'm learning :) Still not sure if it is as fun as buying fabric. Does that count as a hobby?? lol
