Water, water, everywhere!

Coleridge aside, the past six months have been crazy with weather.  Our rivers and tributaries have been put through a lot due to the rains. Though last year our precipitation was higher than usual, this year was strange.

And while our family had nothing to worry about (we just had a little water in the basement), we know families who have been struggling for 6 weeks to get past water damage, but it just keeps coming back.  We had a declaration of emergency on August 6th due to severe weather, which seemed to start all of the problems; and we had the state of emergency due to Hurricane Irene, in which our county experienced wind damage and rain but fortunately no big flooding problems, and now THIS:

 Wendy's in Hershey, PA

 Downtown Harrisburg, PA

Washington National's minor league team, the Harrisburg Senators, play here on City Island normally...

So, even though my computer is fried from Hurrican Irene, I'm really back this time.
I look forward to showing you what I've been up to!

I hope you get the chance to be creative today!

  1. I didn't know Irene (such a mean lady) fried your computer! And now...water! I am so sorry for all that. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

  2. I am from York, and we were on vacation during all the rain. When we tried to return home roads were still under water and washed away. Unbelievable. We were lucky and had no damage, but many neighbors and friend did. Crazy weather this summer.

  3. Rhonda, Ty for the prayers :) So many people need them because the flood were often not in the usual flood zones. Can't WAIT until my computer is fixed. It holds all of my secrets! -- Pam, I am SO glad you didn't have any damage! I'm hoping this winter the weather doesn't continue this way! :-)
